As most of you know our family has moved to Danville, PA. We've only been here a week and a half or so, but I'm pretty sure I've got a good feel for the area and can safely say "we're back in Mayberry". The following list will support my assumption.
1. While watching the news a few nights ago the crime report indicated that the most severe crime committed since the beginning of the year was flower pots being taken from front porches.
2. It took me a good five minutes the other day to pump gas. Why? you may ask....because I couldn't find anywhere to slide my credit card....Why? you may ask...because you didn't have to pay until AFTER you pumped. Trust at a gas pump? I looked around for Gomer Pyle (local gas attendant in Mayberry).
3. Every time I look out my window I see a group of pre-teens out on their own riding their scooters, bikes, skateboards, etc. Given, in Macon, GA I also saw groups of kids hanging out in the streets. However, this occurrence had me locking doors and telling the children to duck down in their seats just to play it safe.
4. I no longer have panic attacks when my children venture out into the yard or ask to go by themselves to a neighbor's house.
5. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, in our neighborhood is competing for the best-kept yard (no actual award given). There are beautiful flowers and manicured lawns everywhere you look. One feels compelled to visit the local Walmart to purchase a basket full of petunias. Needless to say, my front yard is now covered with flowers.
6. And finally, the previous owner of the home gave us all the keys he had to the house thrown together in an envelope. He didn't know which one worked on which door since he said he hadn't locked the house up in the last three years. I have also allowed Jesse to keep the windows open at night while we sleep which is something very new to us.
So let me know what you think. Mayberry-ish or not?

I have to say I am jealous! I do miss those good ole' days. I think it is great that you will have such a nice place to live in and enjoy while Jesse spends a lot of his time at the hospital. I love all of your pictures!
