Our Visit withTyler

Jack in Tyler's hat.
Our tasty dessert (thanks again for the recipe Trev)

Jack enjoying a ride from Uncle Tyler. While he was up there he said, "Uncle Tyler will you hold my feet, this is REALLY high up."

Up on the hill at the hospital.

Going on a walk with Fila. We couldn't figure out if they were walking her or she was walking them.

I received several beautiful pieces of art work from Tyler. Each of these were made by hand and will be something I treasure always. He was so very kind to give each member of the family their very own butter knife. Under their picture you can see what kind of wood of which each is made. The kids just love them and I for one will love saying, "Your Uncle Tyler made that just for you."

English Yew - Bread knife

From left to right: Buckthorn, Mulberry, English Yew, Nicaraguan Rosewood, Brazilian Tulip Wood, and Cherry.

Vase, which is simply beautiful.

I hope you can tell from the pictures what a fantastic time we had with Tyler. The kids fell in love instantly with both Tyler and Fila. Each time we sat down for a meal, it was a battle to see who got to sit next to Uncle Tyler and I would have loved to have had a camera handy to catch the look on Ella's face when she hugged him good-bye. It was a closed eyed, take it all in, pure joy kind of hug. When we were in the kitchen, right after he left, she said, "Do you think he could come back tomorrow, I already miss him." and Jack said, "I really love that Uncle Tyler". I think it would be safe to say all of us feel that way.
