So I sent away for a new jogging stroller for the boys and I. I figured with Parker and Ella both in school next year it would be a nice time for me and the boys to get out and get a little exercise. In the ad (both in description and a picture) the stroller I sent for was a nice red color (my favorite). When it got here, however, it was a bright pink with light pink accents. When Jack saw it he raised his eyebrows and asked, "Is that PINK stroller for Asher and me?". I'm not sure these pictures truly show just how pink it is but after paying $62.00 to fill up the tank today, this will be the boys and my mode of transportation while the girls are in school. Another blessing of living in a small town: everything I need is in walking distance and I get the exercise to boot.
The next set of pictures are of Parker and her friend Emma getting off the bus. One of the mother's of these two cuties is known as 'the artist' by fellow classmates because of how cute her daugther's hair looks each day she comes to school. Can you guess which child's mom holds the title "The Artist". If you are having any trouble deciding here's a hint: check out the parts of the girl's piggy tails. If you're still having trouble, I'll give you another hint. While I was doing Parker's hair this morning she made the comment that one of her piggy tails felt much heavier than the other. My reply, "Oh it's up, it's good, the bus is coming".
I'm adding in this video because I just love this song and the gal who sings it. I don't know if you'll remember but Michelle Kwan performed her final "goodbye" skate to this song at the Olympics after just falling short of the gold. She cried the whole time she skated. Right after the Olympics, my sister, Karen, got us tickets to Olympians on Ice. Michelle performed to this song and it was very moving. When I researched into the artist, I found out it was Eva Cassidy. She was very talented. I used the word 'was' because she has passed on. Such a loss. She basically remained unknown, except in her native Washington D.C., until after her death of melanoma in 1996. She was only 33. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do. She also does a very nice version of Time after Time, Imagine, and Over the Rainbow (just to name a few).
I didn't even notice the hair part until you mentioned it! She looks precious and aren't you glad your son knows his colors so well! What a smart young man! hee hee! I think the stroller is awesome! What a deal!
