The Knights vs. The Jacobsens

These two seemingly mild mannered families squared off tonight in a no holds barred game of kickball.
The Jacobsen's
The Knights

We had a great time tonight with our backyard neighbors, the Jacobson's. Rindi (the mom) gave a wonderful lesson on the importance of families taking part in wholesome activities (taken from the proclamation) and then the fun began.

We had a great time kicking the ball around, trying to get each other out (sorry Rindi for the ball to the head), and just enjoying great company.

Jesse, myself, and the kids feel really blessed to have made such good friends with the Jacobson's and it's really nice having them right in our backyard. Rindi is such a great example of "pure kindness", Jesse loves having someone to watch the BYU games with (not to mention someone his wife can call with all her annoying dermatology questions), Parker swears that her and Emma will be best friends forever, and Ella asks me everyday if she can play with her new friend Julia. I have no doubt that as soon as the boys (Jack and Miles) get a little bit older they too will be the best of friends. So it is easy to see how the Jacobsen's are definitely numbered among my list of things to be grateful for, even if they did cream us in kickball.

We deserved to get creamed after my accidental body slamming of Emma to the turf! The tough little kid took it like a trooper!

Wow to go Jess! It looks like you have had a fun family night tonight. It is already raining here. I am jealous I wish we still had some sun. Oh well, we had a weird summer this year. I love all of you thanks for sharing such a fun family time with everyone. 3

First off, we didn't cream you guys!! We had so much fun...thanks to Christie and her great idea. We love you guys, too. I feel so blessed that y'all (that's for Christie) moved here. Last night while playing, we were all laughing and cheering at one point in the game, and I just felt my heart brimming with happiness to have you guys in our life. Thanks for being our fun friends!!
Love, The Jacobsens
