The New Me

My twin sister sent me this article on not inhibiting yourself due to your insecurities. Basically, the article stated that less people are concerned with you and your behavior than you think so you should just be yourself because you'll have more fun in life. I certainly feel that I hold back in showing the "true me" for fear of what people may think. Well I decided to take steps in showing my true identity or at least put aside my fears of what people might think in order to feel not so constrained all the time. Hence, you all saw my McDreamy and McSteamy blog and now you've seen my next step at setting aside my inhibitions.
I actually wore this hat to the girls soccer game today. A couple of summers ago my twin sister wore this same kind of hat on her vacation to Mexico. When I saw her pictures, I thought, "She looks like one of those girls I'd love to be, footloose and fancy free, not a care in the world and super confident in herself". (She also had on a bikini and looked great so that added to the super confident persona, something you will not see me doing after baring four kiddos.)
So I took the plunge and wore my cute cowboy hat today. I got two compliments on it but better still I think I had more fun. It sounds silly right. I just keep thinking, I'm wearing a cowboy hat at my kids soccer game and I feel like one of those fun girls, you know the ones who are confident enough to wear a cowboy hat out in public. Maybe next time I'll wear my bikini and cowboy hat to the soccer game. ONLY KIDDING!!

Exactly why I wanted you to read the article. You go girl. I'm very proud of you. We should all try to live boldly so that there are little regrets. Keep up the good work!

If you only feel half as good as you look what a success because you look adorable in it. Does Ella feel as confident when she wears hers? Maybe I'll be brave and take a picture of me in my black cowboy hat; looks pretty dorky on my head. Some people just do hats better than others.
