My Big Girl

Well here it is, my favorite wave. We were off to catch the bus today and found out that the neighbor girl would be taken by her mom instead of riding the bus. They offered to take Parker but Parker opted to ride the bus without her "bus pal". Personally, I thought it was a brave decision for a five year old who has only been a bus rider on two other occasions.

I also wanted to show off two of the latest blanket creations. I know that they are not elaborate but I just love the fact that my sweet mother-in-law taught me how to make a gift that comes from the heart. I also love picking the fabric combinations.
The red one with white backing has the cutest red dots that show on the back due to the tying and is on it's way to Illinois to one of my previous professors who just had a little girl. The zoo blanket has found a home here for two reasons. One: it's so dang cute and two: the party it was meant for had a girl instead of a boy, which I thought was expected. She received a very girly tie blanket instead.

Seeing her on the bus makes her look so grown up! She's adorable! Your blankets are so cute! The polkadots are awesome!

You tell Parker Addy that I think she's the bravest little girl I know. I would never have done that. I miss them so much and need you all to come home for a visit soon.

YEAH PARKER. My bet is she wasn't being brave, just doing a fun thing she wanted to do. I'm so proud of her. If you only knew how little I actually knew as I taught you to make a tie quilt!! You have surpassed me I'm sure and anyone who receives one of your lovingly made gifts is blessed.

How lucky, she gets to ride a bus. My boys wish they could. Cute blankets. We are so lucky to have MarySue to teach us all these fun things!
