I'm not sure how appropriate this is for a blog entry but nonetheless, I wanted to ask you who read to include Wendy in your prayers. Wendy is the lady I spoke of in my previous blog. I went up last night to take dinner to her family and couldn't believe her situation. Now remember Wendy is an extremely active woman. She was here in PA participating in extreme sports. She is now laid up for 6 weeks or more with screws in several places in her head on a bed which continually rotates. She has not been able to eat very much for she throws up much of what she takes in and as you can imagine lying on one's back is not a favorable situation for such activity. To add to this trial she leaves three children at home, one of which starts Kindergarten in a few weeks, an event her mother will miss.
Anyway, we are trying as a ward to do all we can on our part but if you could join in with prayers on Wendy's behalf I know it would be appreciated. I feel so badly for her. I was brought to tears yesterday while visiting with her and just want to do everything in my power to ease her burdens. What better person for this task than our Father in Heaven. I know that He answers prayers and am grateful for your prayers on Wendy's behalf.

What a blessing it is to have the church step in and take such loving care of this family. Thanks for all you do and your example.
To have the support of family and friends, priesthood blessings and faith in God, one can make it through anything. We are given our individual trials for what we can learn from them but that doesn't make it easy. Wendy is blessed to have your love and concern and I'll certainly remember her in my prayers!
Christie--
Will remember Wendy in prayer. What an example you are. Please keep us posted on her progress.
So touched by your love for your family -- what beautiful children!
