Oh how I do love Parker!

My girl Parker always seems to come up with clever ways to get out of nap time. This started at a very young age. I recall an occasion right after Ella was born, so that puts Parker at about 18 months or so, where the birdies outside her window were being too loud for her to sleep. Well in true form, Parker came up with an excellent reason as to why she should not be made to nap on Sundays. While having a conversation with her father, Parker asked about keeping the Sabbath Day holy. "Dad we're not suppose to go anywhere on Sundays right?" Jesse's reply (not knowing before hand where this line of reasoning was headed), "That's right Parker, Sundays are special so we only go to church and then send time together as a family" To this Parker replied, "Well I was just thinking that sometimes when I take naps I dream and I go to a lot of places and since we shouldn't go anywhere on Sunday I think it's best if a don't take a nap today. I REALLY want to keep the Sabbath Day holy."
Now how does a parent reply to that? This child of mine will shortly surpass my realm of knowledge and I feel the only thing I'll have left to say is, "Yes Parker I see your point but do it BECAUSE I SAID SO!"

I'm very sorry I'm so far away now and don't get to see my precious nieces and nephews anymore. What Christie fails to mention is that Parker is the spitting image of her mother and there are many times that these stories make me laugh because that remind me so much of my twin sister when we were growing up.

Hey Aunt Christie and everyone else! I miss you guys so much and I think about ya'll everyday. It feels like it's been ages since I have heard Ella and Parker's sweet little voices calling my name asking me to play with them. I am planning on coming very soon and I can not wait! Be sure to tell the kids. I love you guys sooo much!!
